LOGICOR WELCOMES ITS FIRST CUSTOMER TO THE NEWLY COMPLETED DEVELOPMENT IN PŘÍŠOVICE

  • Plzeňský Prazdroj has leased 7,500 sqm at Logicor Příšovice

  • The site will become the regional distribution centre across all the Czech regions north/east of Prague for the smooth flow of everyday trade.

04 September 2024: Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer has welcomed its first customer to the recently completed development in Příšovice.

Plzeňský Prazdroj, the largest Czech Beer producer, has leased 7,500 sqm as its regional distribution centre, from which it will be able to efficiently supply its customers in northern and eastern Bohemia.  Beer from the warehouse will be served in restaurants in popular ski resorts and other holiday destinations, such as the Giant Mountains and Bohemian Paradise.

The new facility, strategically located on the D10 motorway hub connecting Prague, Mlada Boleslav, Liberec and the borders with Poland and Germany, will help Plzeňský Prazdroj to streamline its distribution operation, enabling growth in the region.  The site also has easy connection to the Czech rail network, thanks to the on-site railway siding.

The new premises – which also include 470 sqm of office space meet the high demands for quality, safety and sustainability – are fully tailored to the specific needs of Plzeňský Prazdroj.

Jaroslav Beneš – Warehouse Manager at Plzeňský Prazdroj, said:

“We chose Logicor Příšovice for its strategic location near the D10 motorway, which helps us provide good services within the region. We had specific requirements for the spatial arrangement of the entire site.

“It included facilities for the sales teams, multiple entrance gates and ramps in the warehouse, distinct sections for various activities within the warehouse, space for servicing the tapping technology, as well as fenced-off outside areas. Logicor has tailored the premises according to our requirements

“That is why we are glad that we were able to enter into a long-term partnership.”

The brownfield site was previously used to precast concrete and underwent extensive renovation works with the development completing in June 2024.

The site totals over 21,000 sqm, split between two buildings. Both target BREEAM Very Good and have an underground rainwater retention systems in place. Charging stations for electric vehicles have been installed. The roofs are suitable for PV panels and one of the completed buildings is optimised for cross-dock operations.

As well as delivering sustainable and modern buildings, the local community has been at the heart of the development.

Alongside an extensive revitalisation of the local flora and fauna to promote biodiversity and wellbeing, Logicor has provided utility connection points to the local swimming pond for the local community.

Throughout the planning and construction of Logicor Park Příšovice, members of the team have hosted various cultural and social events to update local residents about the current stages of construction and share the benefits created by the park.

Alžběta Pastrnková – Asset Manager at Logicor Czech Republic, said:

“Our project in Příšovice is an excellent example of the construction of modern logistics properties that significantly support the needs of our customers for well located, sustainable assets that will enable their growth.

“We are very pleased to welcome Plzeňský Prazdroj to our park. Thanks to close cooperation with Plzeňský Prazdroj throughout the construction, we met all the requirements for an optimally functioning, efficient facility, especially high safety and sustainability standards. We could do all this while adhering to our original development schedule.”

Logicor Park Příšovice is a clear demonstration of Logicor’s strategic efforts to strengthen its presence in key markets where current demand for strategically located and sustainably built logistics properties far outstrips supply.

In addition to the park in Příšovice, Logicor is preparing a development in Průmyslová Street in central Prague, where it intends to provide services for customers who need to solve last mile logistics with a focus on consumers in the centre of the Prague agglomeration.

Logicor currently owns or manages more than 115,000 sqm of logistics space across the Czech Republic.
